Luna Jordan - R.Y.T.

Luna Jordan, RYT-500 teaches from an eclectic background of yoga traditions and other healing modalities creating classes which foster an environment ripe for exploration and discovery, allowing students to move into deeper places in their practice. She strives to offer opportunities for students to learn more about their own body/mind and how to better meet their own needs. Her insight and intuition guide her as she teaches students to honor the individual, unique path each of us follows. This knowledge has fostered a deep interest in therapeutic applications of yoga. These applications include, among other things, physical pain reduction and stress reduction. With compassion and humor, she conveys structural and emotional integrity in yoga classes which are fun and uplifting.

Luna Jordan is a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance and a professional member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She has studied with several prominent, nationally-known yoga teachers. Her teaching is further enriched by her studies with Sonia Nelson in Vedic chanting.

From a young age, Luna Jordan enjoyed singing and playing musical instruments. She received musical training through-out her formative years. As an adult, Luna continues exploring music and its healing qualities. From her first experience chanting Patañjali’s Yoga Sutra, her exploration of music merged with her yoga practice.

For the past 17 years, Luna has delved into the study of the Self through several modalities including yoga. She knows first hand the peace of “knowing thyself” and hopes that ultimately she conveys this to her students through her down-to-earth approach and most especially her humor. Luna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders with an emphasis in psychology. She is a natural teacher and has taught in many different capacities throughout her life.

Why Should You Seek Treatment?

Many People think their pain will go away on its own, or are told this.
Then after suffering for weeks finally decide to seek treatment. The worst advice to follow is "Just wait - it will get better" or "It is all in your head", or "Just learn to live with it." We see patients frequently that have been in pain for 5 years because they followed this very bad advice. Some people just don't know what kind of treatment to seek.

When you have pain it is your body telling you that something is wrong - and you need to do something about it.

Delaying treatment allows your body to compensate for the injured area. Even if the pain gets better, muscles tighten and joints don't work like they supposed to. This puts extra stress on many joints. You are so much more prone to another injury, usually worse than the first. But even more insidious is that joints under stress - without you even knowing it - will wear out. This leads to arthritis in the spine, hip, and knees.

Can you prevent hip or knee replacement surgery? YES, but you can't wait until the hips or knees are worn out. You have to start much earlier! We can help!
